How To Find An Italian American Girl or Guy For Dating!

Ah....love...its what we live for and strive to find. As Italians its our God given talent to love better than other cultures. (Just my opinion) In doing so, its imperative that we find the right person to love. If you recall in my past blog we discussed the background factor and whether or not it was important to be with someone who is Italian or of Italian descent.

From personal experience, I've always found that dating someone who has an understanding of my background really does make a difference. Of course, I'm not saying its impossible to also fall in love with someone of a different culture, but I find it (for me) as someone who is totally imbibed in my culture to be with someone of Italian descent. The bottom line is this, I'm American, a culture in itself, but I am also Italian..so being with someone who understands all of it --counts

Anyhow, enough of my rant, the purpose of why I was writing this was because I wanted to share an online dating site, where you can find men and women of Italian descent looking for the same connection. Online dating works for some people, actually its worked well for a lot of people I know,up to the point of some of my very close friends having met and married their online matches. Its an interesting concept. Also, whats great about this site is that they also have other culture sites for Greeks and many others.

So, if you're in the market for love and want to start connecting with other Italian Americans, Italians--go to http://www.italianosingles.com/ Hey you never know.

11/22/08- I was informed of another site, check out http://www.italiansinglesconnection.com

"Everybody Wants To Be Italian"-- The Newest Creation of What The Media Thinks Being Italian Means....You Judge.

10/8--PS-I have to add, that I removed that trailer from my blog, it was getting on my nerves. The more I watched it, the more I realized --its just not what I'm about or condone. Sorry. If you still want to see it, go to the link below and catch the trailer there.

Well, watch the latest trailer posted on the top of this blog. You judge whether you think this movie trailer really tells a good story about a fictional Italian American family or does it put us in the stereotypical box once again. YOU JUDGE, or I should say review with an open mind.

Political Ads

Just for the record, the ads presented on this blog page do not represent my affiliation to anything. They're just ads, that appear with key words such as Palin, which is basically media over-saturation. Just saying. PS- Did you catch the SNL clip of Tina Fey as Sarah Palin? Really she's quite good, they could be related.

Go To:
youtube.com or hulu.com for the best of these parody clips.

Who is Patrizio Buanne?

Well, for those of you who haven't been enlightened yet on this amazing Italian singer brace yourselves to be introduced to one of the best and incredible talented young performers since Frank Sinatra.
Many of you are saying, you can't compare anyone to Frank Sinatra, true-- but let me be honest, Patrizio Buanne can hold his own. You can sometimes catch his performances on PBS. He's actually in concert this weekend in Atlantic City at the Taj Mahal.
I wanted to just introduce this talented singer to those of you who don't know about him. Take a few minutes and visit his myspace page. His real website is under construction so opt for the myspace page where you can actually preview his music. Not to mention he is also blessed with amazing Italian features, he's gorgeous.

UPDATE: 2011--- Patrizio's official site is now live and his new album is launching!

Its that time of year again when October rolls around and the smell of Fall is in the air, this can only mean one thing for the Italian Americans, ok maybe more than one thing...(like making sauce and wine) but its time for the annual Columbus Day Parade in New York City. Biden-Palin...Who Won This Debate?

Wow, what a debate last night. Not really, that was the lamest and most un-informative debate I have ever seen. Biden, who is experienced and knows about the issues was completely unchallenged and quite frankly, I felt like it was almost embarrassing for him to be put up against Sarah Palin, who really was well rehearsed on the issues she really knows nothing about.

I usually don't make my political standing a public knowledge factor but, I think what boiled down last night was the mere fact that Sarah Palin really looked like the actress playing a vice-presidential candidate. She's fitting a mold for the Republican party and its not quite apparent if she really gets it. It was all a little too scary for me.
