Well, here it is the night many of you have been waiting for, the season premiere of American Idol. OK, I will admit I like the show too, not crazy into it but I like it. So, this season there is a new judge, and Paula Abdul has some girl competition or should I say company. New judge, Kara DioGuardi is on deck to play and will be giving her opinion on this season's contestants. DioGuardi gets mentioned tonight on Italian American Girl because she is of Italian descent on one half, so we'll give it up and be happy we have some Italian heritage representing on the American Idol judging table. As for DioGuardi she has great credentials besides being part Italian, she's also a very successful songwriter and producer. She's written songs for some of the most popular singers today like Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson (former Idol), Celine Dion, Pink and the list goes on.
